Chris Boucher 13 Points/2 Blocks Full Highlights (11/11/2019)

Chris “The Bouchebag” Boucher has officially been unleashed. I am comfortable stating that unequivocally since he has now had two good games in a row. All it took was some minutes given in good faith to unlock the potential that was bubbling within his stringy body. Marc Gasol had better start packing his bags and waving bye-bye to Toronto because his role on the team is about to see a significant reduction. Thanks for helping the Raptors win a ring, bro, but you’re toast. The next flight to Spain leaves Toronto later this afternoon.

As far as I’m concerned, Serge Ibaka can stay injured forever as well. Yeah, he’s a better player than Boucher is, but he’s not as exciting as Boucher is. When it comes to teams in the NBA that aren’t the Bucks, I prefer them to be “fun” or “exciting” over being “actually good”. Boucher brings the fun and excitement in large quantities. That’s why Ibaka’s ankle can take as long as it wants to heal back up. I wouldn’t even argue if Ibaka had a tragic “setback” where Boucher ran over his ankle with a pickup truck. That’s how things go sometimes.

If Gasol retires to Spain and Ibaka’s lower leg gets crushed by a moving vehicle, that leaves only one legit big on the roster, and that’s Boucher. Maybe that’s a shortcoming of roster construction, but I see it as a boon for Boucher and his minutes. Again, the only thing I really care about is having fun young players get a lot of minutes. That’s why I am currently in talks with all involved parties to bring Bruno Caboclo back to the Raptors.
