Damian Jones Career High 14 Points Full Highlights (11/14/2019)

It looks like Damian Jones made the right call to bail on the Warriors during the offseason. Sticklers will point out that he didn’t have a choice in the matter, that he got traded to the Hawks for Omari Spellman. And I will point out that you can just shut the heck up and get out of here with your “AHCKCHUALLY”s. No one cares, dude. Just shut up.

As I was saying, Jones correctly sensed that the Warriors were trending steeply downward while the Hawks were trending up. Why would he want to struggle on a roster full of role-players as role-playery or perhaps even more so than him, when he could go to the team with the most willing lob passer in the league? It’s an easy decision. Stephen Curry would rather shoot threes and then shatter his hand into a million bone fragments than throw him lobs for easy dunks. Trae Young likes to shoot threes too, but his hands remain intact and he loves getting his bigs easy looks at the rim.

And now he’s the starter. That’s an added bonus to coming to the Hawks, one that was maybe not anticipated unless he had insider knowledge that John Collins was on the juice. Yeah, he got to start some games for the Warriors once upon a time, but it was clear that they were ready to move on from him. Their loss, I will say. Their record just isn’t as good without Jones in the picture.
