Jabari Parker 24 Points Full Highlights (11/14/2019)

Just a few days ago, Jabari Parker was leading the entire league in two-point field goal percentage and a nice even 70 percent. That’s gone down in the meantime, so he’s not the leader anymore (god damn it Dwight Howard go back to being a team cancer like you were last time you played for the Lakers), but he’s still way the heck up there. Most of the dudes around him in the list are bigs whose hands are literally already next to the basket so they barely have to do anything to convert field goals. Parker, comparatively, is a midget; he has to jump fairly high to dunk. The fact that he barely misses from two-point range is a testament to how much of a beast in the paint he is right now (plus how he barely shoots from the deep midrange anymore, preferring to step out for three).

Put another way: if you watch only highlight videos, you could easily come away with the impression that Parker never misses. But in this case, the highlight videos compared to pure game footage are barely different. Except when it comes to threes. He’s still not very good at those.

Parker is scoring so well right now that I wouldn’t be surprised to see him draw some interest on the trade market. There are always teams with playoff aspirations who are slightly underperforming. And those teams are always looking for a little extra scoring boost. Parker could be that scorer! His contract is short, you get five free dunks out of him per game it seems like. Right now, I’m thinking… Knicks. Their season is in danger of totally imploding, if it hasn’t already, so they need to make a splash, quick. And looking at their roster, they basically don’t have any power forwards who only want to score and don’t do anything else. So it would be a perfect fit.
