Such is the position of Langston Galloway in the overall NBA hierarchy that even this performance, a 32-point explosion that was unexpected to literally everybody, will do little to capture the hearts and minds of the average NBA fan. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t notice this one at all. He checked almost none of the boxes:
National TV? No.
Playing for a good team? Definitely no.
Playing against a good team? Again, definitely no.
Game-winner? No.
Dunks? No.
Lots of scoring? Yes, but after all those unchecked boxes, that doesn’t matter as much.
Even 40 points wouldn’t be enough to get people to care about him, I don’t think. 50 might do it, people really seemed to like Corey Brewer after his 50-burger, but 32 is a far, far cry from 50. 32 is something that NBA players are currently averaging, and there’s a ton more players who regularly score that amount.
Don’t let all this lead you to believe that I’m not hyped for this performance by Galloway. I definitely am. This is basically what I live for, this is why my channel exists, because in the old days (like 6 or 7 years ago), someone like Galloway scoring something like 32 points wouldn’t get a highlight video. From anybody. Anywhere. Nowadays, things are different… actually, Galloway is such a known dud in the video views department that maybe no one else will even get around to this one.
