Brandon Clarke’s 8 field goals without a miss in this game is tied for second most this season. When you see that stat, the guy in first place, with 9, should come to mind IMMEDIATELY. If this player does not come to mind IMMEDIATELY, you are not a WORTHY DownToBuck viewer and you should remove yourself from this video page IMMEDIATELY.
Tony Snell (remember, if you didn’t come up with his name, I already told you to LEAVE) is an unlikely candidate to make a ton of shots without missing, unlike Dwight Howard, who is the other person with 8, and Brandon Clarke. Howard, obviously, doesn’t do anything anymore besides stuff right at the rim, whereas Clarke is at least willing to take a few jumpers. Not too many, but some. Clarke didn’t win Summer League MVP (joining the likes of Jerryd Bayless and Josh Selby… oh no…) by just dunking it every time, that’s for sure.
Clarke has been a really fun surprise for the Grizzlies this season, about as fun as a Canadian can be, I’d guess. Certainly, he’s a lot more fun than someone like Jaren Jackson or Jonas Valanciunas, but not as fun as Bruno Caboclo, who they really need to stop marginalizing, god damn it.
