Eric Paschall 17 Points Full Highlights (11/19/2019)

I’m really enjoying Eric Paschall’s game right now. He just doesn’t care at all about what a “good shot” is, especially in the context of his position. He’ll take turnaround and side-step midrange jimbos like he’s the second coming of prime LMA combined with the second coming of prime Kobe. He’ll drive the ball even though he can’t really dribble it or maintain control of his body in any meaningful way. Most rookie power forwards are too afraid to shoot from anywhere outside eight feet, but the concept of fear is not present in Paschall’s psyche.

Paschall’s willingness to take any shot that he wants is helpful for this current Warriors squad that is missing some important players. Even better: he’s making over 50% of them! Unlike somebody like Jordan Poole, who takes any shot he wants but misses them all, Paschall is capable of converting the randomly tough looks that he generates for himself.

This efficiency might not continue forever, especially as the long NBA season and heavy minutes start to wear Paschall down, but we can at least go back and say that, for the first two months of his career, Paschall was beasting in the most unexpected ways possible. And that’s what DownToBuck is all about: scrubs beasting in the most unexpected ways possible.
