Donte DiVincenzo 16 Points Full Highlights (11/21/2019)

What we are seeing right now from Donte DiVincenzo is something we haven’t yet seen in his NBA career: consistency. This is his fourth straight double-digit scoring game, compare that to the three he had all of last year. We’d seen the flashes, but now we’re getting those flashes on a nightly basis.

It’s easy to see why he’s putting up consistent stats: he’s been the starter for the last 5 games, the first 5 starts of his career. It’s easier to be confident with your game when you at least know that you’re for sure going to play; at the start of the season, he was getting DNPs. And it gets even easier when you know that your backups are Pat Connaughton and Sterling Brown. No need to fret about messing up too bad, because there’s no one breathing down your neck waiting to take your minutes the second you make a booboo.

Speaking of booboos: this could’ve been a 18-point performance, a career-high performance, if he hadn’t missed a dunk with about 3 minutes left in the game. It’s okay, Donte. Giannis misses dunks too, it happens to the best of us.
