Ja Morant 19 Points/10 Assists Full Highlights (11/25/2019)

It’s unlikely that the NBA will go back and look at this “double-double” performance from Ja Morant, since they really only care about the veracity of assists when it comes to triple-doubles. They have no respect for the quality of stats that their scorekeepers generate, and that’s fine. As long as the point totals are right (and they usually are, even if they did take a while replacing that supposed Rashad Vaughn bucket with its rightful maker, Greivis Vasquez, in the Bucks season-opener so many years ago), that’s all that really matters in the grand scheme of things.

An astute observer will notice that there are only eight assists depicted in this video, rather than the 10 that were advertised. One of them was cut off by a replay (you do get to see the end of it but who cares), and the other one was ABSOLUTELY Dillon Brooks doing the assisting, not Ja Morant. Sorry bro, but your double-double, only the second of your entire career to this point, is nothing but a wholly mediocre 19-point, 9-assist game. A single-double, but no one cares about those at all unless you get 10 steals and nothing else.

If any of you people want to contact Adam Silver about this statistical misattribution, go ahead. I would myself, but Silver and I are not on speaking terms right now.
