Ky Bowman Career High 24 Points/5 Assists Full Highlights (11/25/2019)

I don’t understand contracts much if at all. The only thing I know about them is that’s how players get paid. Otherwise, anything related to the CBA is scary and foreign to me. When people start talking about “cap space” or “exceptions”, my eyes glaze over and I nod like I know what they’re talking about. I don’t. I don’t know what they’re talking about.

However, I do know that Ky Bowman is currently on a two-way contract, which means that he can only be in the NBA for up to 45 days. He’s gotta be getting pretty close to that since the season’s been going on for over a month now. I also know that the Warriors’ contract situation is extremely inflexible and they have basically no ability to add players to their roster right now, even if they go crazy and start waiving people. So, my question is: will Bowman be a season-long fixture for the Warriors, or is he going to ball out until his eligibility runs out and then spend the rest of the season slumming it up in the G-League?

Out of all the random scrubs that the Warriors are playing right now, Bowman is one of the best. If you take him off the team, the Warriors go from bad to even more bad. Maybe Curry will be back by then to ease the pain, but if Bowman is forced out before Curry returns, that’s like 50% of the funness of the team just walking out the door. On the plus side, maybe tickets at the new arena would actually become affordable after that.
