Dewayne Dedmon 18 Points Full Highlights (11/27/2019)

Dewayne “Judge Dedd” Dedmon has been the subject of much scorn and consternation from Kings fans, and the terms “scorn” and “consternation” are actually understating their feelings significantly. Judging by their meanspirited nicknames of “Dudman” and “Deadman” for this guy, it’s clear that they really, really don’t like him.

It’s a time-honored Kings tradition: the Kings sign a player who is supposed to be good and he immediately turns to poo-poo. In this case, Dedmon lost the one skill (his three-point shooting) that could have made him an above-average or even average starter. Even after this game, where he splashed in two of his five long-distance attempts, he’s only shooting 24% from three. I think he’s officially lost the privilege of doing his patented “dialing long distance” celebration until he drags his percentage up to at least 30%. As far as whether the Kings as a franchise are to blame for Dedmon’s regression, I’ll just say that it can’t possibly be a coincidence that almost no Kings free agent signings have ever lived up to the contracts they’ve signed.

Richaun Holmes has been better than Dedmon for the Kings in so many ways that I’m surprised that Judge Dedd even plays as many minutes as he does (which isn’t that many now that he sucks). I’m as big a Dedmon fan as you’ll ever find in the universe, but even I think that most of his minutes should probably be going to Harry Giles. Sorry man. You can do your hand-phone celebration in China.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: REVENGE GAME!!!!!
