As of this writing, my “Lonnie Walker 16 Points Full Highlights” video from last season is the most-watched video on my channel, with roughly 100k views. That’s a somewhat depressing fact given that my old, now-deleted channel had many videos which were way above that mark (RIP Steph Curry three-ilation that had two million views), but I’ve moved past that and can look at the bright side. The bright side is, there’s a lot of people out there who want to see Walker do well in the NBA despite his underwhelming career up to this point, and those people are coming to my channel to get their fix of videographic content.
If that video is any indication, this video should receive a very healthy amount of views as well. That’s pretty much the only reason why I’m uploading it. I often claim to not care about view counts, and that’s true in a sense (if I cared, I would upload nonstop Jokic and Carmelo vids), but in some cases I upload videos just to blatantly chase after views. With views comes more subscribers and more potential donors to my Patreon. Which you should donate to by the way. I’ll even put the link here so all you Lonnie Walker fans can see it: https://www.patreon.com/downtobuck . When this video gets 500,000 views, I’m going to be glad I featured my Patreon link prominently in the middle of the description.
Going back to Walker’s underwhelming NBA career, which has been littered with DNP’s and two-minute outings and very little in the way of actual production, I feel like this game could be a turning point. Last season, Walker dropped sixteen points in a game, but it was too late in the season for him to build off of that success. Now, Walker’s dropping eleven in late November when there’s plenty of games left for him to get on a roll. Now it’s just up to coach Poop to allow him the freedom to get on a roll.
