Darius Garland 21 Points/6 Assists Full Highlights (11/29/2019)

After his disastrous (though not so disastrous that I did not make a highlight video for his scoring performance) 8-turnover game in the Cavaliers’ last game, Darius Garland was well on his way to a 0-turnover game in this one. Sadly, he coughed the ball up with 4 seconds to go (don’t worry, the Cavaliers were going to loss anyway), costing him a chance at a perfect night of ball-control. In the same way I don’t think shots taken in the last minute of a non-contested game should count, neither should turnovers count in a similar situation. If I had my way, once a game was more than a one-possession game at any point in the fourth quarter, I’d call the whole thing off and award the win to the team with more points.

Semi-related: is anyone willing to be an angel investor for my up-and-coming new basketball league? I have so many great ideas for improving the game yet Adam Silver almost uniformly has ignored all my communications.

So Garland did have a turnover this game, but that’s fine, since he had 6 assists (somehow tying a career high) and 21 points to make up for it. This is, like, his second good game of the season in 19 attempts, and it was definitely could enough to get me, a Bucks fan, upset that it was happening. With every shot Garland made, I got more and more frustrated. He didn’t make any shots in the fourth quarter, when the game got really close, which is good for the health of my TV, which would have received a fist of fury had such a thing happened.
