Coming into this game, the Hornets were the 8th seed in the East at 8 wins and 12 losses. This despite the fact that they are one of the worst teams in the league; pretty much all their wins have been by one or two points, and when they lose, they lose big.
Like tonight. It was kind of close at one point, I think they got the deficit down to three points before giving up some sort of ridiculous run, and then the ridiculous run continued for the rest of the game and they lost by almost 40. I just want to say thank you to the Hornets for rolling over and dying so quickly that the Bucks could get some of their scrubs some real minutes again the likes of… Miles Bridges and Malik Monk. Even if players like Bridges and Monk should not be playing in garbage time.
Devonte’ Graham strengthened his case for the “only good player on the Hornets” designation even as the team collapsed in flames around him. I was impressed with the quality of the floaters he was hitting tonight, as well as his usual smooth-as-heck threes. He didn’t get many assists, but it’s tough to get assists when all your teammates are doodoo and you aren’t allowed to pass it to yourself for one.
