Spencer Dinwiddie 32 Points/11 Assists Full Highlights (11/29/2019)

After a significant, bordering on Herculean, struggle with the unfamiliar stats.nba.com interface, which purportedly offers a wealth of statistical knowledge in pretty much the most incomprehensible manner possible, I was finally able to track down a list of all the players that Spencer “Din-Dins” Dinwiddie has assisted this season and how many times he assisted them.

The whole point of that harrowing effort was to see if Din-Dins really does have great chemistry with Jarrett Allen (more chemistry than with DeAndre Jordan, anyway) or if it’s just an illusion. And, what do you know, my intuitive intuitions are once again proven to be scarily accurate, as Din-Dins has, prior to this game, hit Allen for 21 buckets as opposed to 13 for Jordan. So, when I registered a faint amount of surprise at Din-Dins lobbing it up for Jordan twice in this game, my surprise was rightly registered and not wrongly registered.

I can’t find the stat to see who assists Jarrett Allen the most, only who Din-Dins assists the most (it’s a tie between Allen and Joe Harris). So my stats-fu needs a bit of improvement, but I’m confident that my newfound ability to look up interesting stats on the NBA stats website will usher in a new era of informative, entertaining video descriptions. Or not.

The other funny thing that I found out while looking at all these stats is that Jarrett Allen has not passed it to DeAndre Jordan even one time this season. The same is true going the opposite direction: Jordan has never passed the ball to Allen. They obviously hate each other’s guts. Either that or they don’t ever share the court since they’re both pure fives and no coach is ever going to play two rangeless fives at the same time.
