Every game that passes with Bam Adebayo playing at a pseudo-All-Star level renders my scathing nickname of “Bum Adebayo” less scathing and more petty. Not that I think he’ll be an All-Star, because he probably won’t be, but his averages of 14/10/4/1/1 on extremely efficient shooting certainly raise my eyebrows, being that I am a connoisseur of stat-stuffed statlines. I can see him getting a few votes, or maybe even a lot of votes since the center situation in the East sucks like usual.
The only way my creative, but currently irrelevent, nickname of “Bum Adebayo” would have any relevance at all is if Adebayo voluntarily chose to live a homeless life. Then he would literally be a bum. He would be a bum with millions of dollars, but if you live in a cardboard box on the beach and use the ocean as your toilet, then you’re a bum whether or not you’ve got millions sitting in a bank account somewhere. Does anybody know if Adebayo actually owns a house or has seen him living in a house? Maybe my “out-there” scenario isn’t so out-there.
Also irrelevent is my under-development nickname of “Jam Adebayo”. I came up with it before making this video, thinking that many Bam Jams would be present, but they are not. Not a single dunk is dunked, nor is a single jam jammed. Instead we have Bam Layups, Bam Floaters, Bam Free Throws, and a Bam Jumper. I will file this new nickname creation away for later unveiling if Bum decides to start living up to it.
