Patrick Patterson 19 Points Full Highlights (12/3/2019)

When Patrick Patterson scored twenty points in the second game of the season, displaying much-needed scoring acumen for a team that was missing its superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, I allowed myself to fantasize about a situation where Patterson revived his career by regularly scoring double digits for a championship contender.

Ha. Haha. Ha.

In the sixteen games between that one and this one, Tupat scored in double digits exactly two times, and both totals were low enough that they barely qualify as “double digits”: twelve and ten points. There were plenty of scoreless outings in that time frame, and he also got some DNP’s for good measure. A career revival this isn’t.

I’ve learned my lesson. Despite watching Tupat drop nineteen seemingly effortless points on the Blazers, I absolutely do not expect this to be a regular occurrence as the season marches on. All optimism for this guy has been drained from my body and replaced with a life-sapping mixture of pessimism, hopelessness, and disappointment. That is the mixture which now flows through my veins in a cruel mockery of blood.
