Richaun Holmes Career High 28 Points Full Highlights (12/4/2019)

I have said in the past that Richaun Holmes was giving me vibes of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Reminder: my vibe-receptors are very finely tuned and never give me erroneous readings when it comes to NBA players. Those Giannis-vibes that I received from Holmes while he was in Philly were some of the most legit vibes I have ever detected.

Sadly, I am no longer receiving those vibes from Holmes. How could I? Giannis could never shoot standstill floater-jumper hybrid thingies as well as Holmes can. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him take even a single one, while Holmes made at least a dozen, possibly two dozen, of them in this game.

What a way to get a career-high as a bigman: with floaters, but not just normal floaters. These were ADVANCED floaters. Floater technology is progressing before our unbelieving eyes right now, with Holmes at the vanguard. I still maintain that floaters should be the sole domain of unathletic midget guards who can’t get any other shot, but if Holmes is going to advance the art in this way, maybe I’ll have to reconsider my position.

I bet he can shoot them from three if he wants. He shot some normal threes for a little bit there in Portland, and now that he’s pretty much an unstoppable interior force (do I detect those Giannis vibes again… I think I do!!!!!!), a three-point shot, even in floater form, could give him the extra little boost in the scoring department and make Kings fans forget about Marvbust Bustley.
