Glenn Robinson III AKA GRIII AKA “Greeeee” must be having the time of his life now. On all his previous teams, his teammates were better than him and would probably get mad at him for taking any shot he wanted. For example, if he had dared to take a step-back twenty-footer while on the Pistons, Blake Griffin would have given him a stern talking-to on the bench about taking good shots. If he had just popped a three-pointer simply because he felt like it, Langston Galloway would pull him aside after the game and remind him that there were other players on the court who should have been taking those attempts.
Now there’s no accountability, nor should there be any accountability. There is no room for accountability when your roster looks like the Warriors’ currently does. Greeeee can and will take any shot that presents itself because their offense is unlikely to generate a significantly better look for anybody. If he’s throwing up bricks the whole game, as he has for certain games this season, what are you gonna do? Bench him? Benching him means that four other players on the team are suddenly going to have to play forty-plus minutes.
So I say to Greeeee: keep shooting those shots, because this is probably the last time in your career that a coach is going to let you do this.
