Jabari Parker must have used up all his juice against the Bucks because since then, he’s been pretty bad. He scored 33 points that game (plus 14 rebounds and 5 assists) in his quest for sweet revenge, a performance that pushed him to the very borders of eligibility on my channel. But then he came back to earth, resumed bricking his threes, and stopped dunking it every other possession.
It pains me to see him struggle, but I’m happy to see that the Hawks aren’t just giving up on him. A lot of teams would just bench him, because when he’s not scoring he doesn’t offer much else, but the Hawks, they need his presence on the court. Even a bricky Jabari is better for offensive flow than some random they could pluck off the bench.
Tonight he returned to form a little bit, scoring 19 and dunking it approximately the correct amount of times. I say “approximately” because really, the correct amount of times for him to dunk it in a single game is around 30. I lost track of how many he had in this one, but it wasn’t too far off of that. At least within 30.
