Matisse Thybulle 20 Points Full Highlights (12/8/2019)

Who says that Matisse Thybulle is just a one-way player? An extensive analysis of internet comments to find out who is claiming such a thing, and the results will not surprise you:

-Stephen A. Smith
-Racists
-Butthurt Raptor Fans
-Ignorami
-Russian Bots

All those types of people regularly go on the internet and say, whether in ignorance or in sincerity, that Matisse Thybulle can only be effective on offense and not on defense. I had previously set aside some time to laugh at their stupidity; that time is now at hand.

It is plainly obvious, after watching this video, that Thybulle, while not the worlds most dynamic offensive player, is more than capable of performing successfully in a well-defined role. Don’t have him do too much, don’t let him handle the ball much if at all, just have him pick his spots and watch the points roll in. Compare that to someone like, let’s say… Joel Embiid, who regularly tries to do way too much, attempting things that he has not the skills for. I know which one I would rather have on MY team, let’s just put it that way.

And that’s not even talking about Thybulle’s defense, which IS decidedly dynamic. Even if he scored 0 points tonight (which is laughable, but bear with me), he created value with his defense. Not like I would really know; I don’t care about defense at all, but I’m trying really hard to pretend to for the purposes of this description.
