Jerami Grant 20 Points Full Highlights (12/12/2019)

Jerami Grant highlight videos are supposed to excite the viewer with scenes of his speedy drives and acrobat dunks. They aren’t supposed to bore the viewer with a series of three-pointers which are fine from a player development perspective (it can only help Grant’s career to be a near-40% three-point shooter as he is right now) but are uninteresting from a highlights perspective (all threes look the same unless you’re fading, doing a 360, or shooting it from thirty feet). Unfortunately, this video is more of the latter and less of the former. Grant’s singular dunk comes off a laser pass from Mason Plumlee, and he’s under the basket when he catches it, so there’s only so much acrobatism that can be displayed in such a situation.

In my ideal world, here’s how a Jerian Grant 20-point highlight video would go:

-And-one poster dunk on Whiteside (2 pts)
-Made free throw (3 pts)
-Fast break 360 dunk (5 pts)
-Baseline cut for a dunk while Mario Hezonja stands at the three-point line wondering where his guy went (7 pts)
-Windmill alley-oop from Jokic with head above the rim ala Gerald Green (9 pts)
-Two-handed tomahawk on Carmelo who re-retires instantly and walks off the floor (11 pts)
-Three-pointer from forty feet to beat the third-quarter buzzer (14 pts)
-Statue of liberty dunk from just inside the free throw line (16 pts)
-Jumps over C.J. McCollum to catch a badly-thrown oop from Jarred Vanderbilt who is in the game because the Nuggets are up by 60 (18 pts)
-[Bonus footage of Skal Labissiere scoring his fiftieth point]
-Uncontested dunk with four seconds left which angers the Blazers players so much that they start pummeling him and Adam Silver runs out on the court to break up the fight but gets punched in the face and his glasses fly off, resulting in whole Blazers team getting suspended (20 pts)

You must surely agree that such a highlight video would be much more exciting than the video you are about to watch or have already watched. Soon, I will be able to deepfake such a video into existence. Just donate a bit more to my Patreon so I can afford a GPU cluster.
