Derrick Jones 15 Points Full Highlights (12/16/2019)

All I want for Christmas is to be able to dunk like Derrick Jones Jr. can. Is that so much to ask? It is, because there are only a few people with his dunking ability and most of them are in the NBA solely because of that (even James White managed to get in eventually but then he disappointed everyone by not even doing a between-the-legs free-throw-line dunk in-game). So I would settle for just being able to dunk at all. When I see Jones flying to the rim with ease so he can slam it while trying to avoid hitting his head on the rim/backboard, I feel jealously and, increasingly, despair.

I was given only one life on this earth. That, by itself, seems sorta unfair, but I can deal with it. But why would I be given but a single life and then not be granted the athletic ability to dunk a basketball? This is my only chance to dunk, if I don’t dunk in this life I don’t get to dunk EVER, but I can’t do it. I’m too short. I can’t jump high enough. In my prime, I could sometimes barely graze the rim.

Also, I can’t palm a basketball. So that’s another problem.

My fate is shared by billions of people all across the globe. I am not alone in my dunkless tragedy. But many of those billions of people don’t even WANT to dunk, or know what dunking even is. I do. I see so many dunks, I see all the dunks that happen in the NBA, and it’s just not fair.

It’s just not fair.
