Kyle Korver 17 Points/5 Threes Full Highlights (12/16/2019)

Props to Kyle Korver for being the only Buck to show up tonight besides Giannis Antetokounmpo. Their forces combined (17 for Korver, 48 for Giannis, basically equal) were almost enough to take down the Mavericks, who were missing a certain player who I shall not name because his absence has been mentioned too many times already.

Korver shouldn’t have to be the one stepping up. He’s old. The only active players older than him are Vince Carter (can maybe step up on occasion) and Udonis Haslem (hasn’t stepped up in at least five years, probably longer). Korver is still a viable player in the NBA, but only because his three-ball is still as wet as ever, and it makes up for his lack of defense. Ignore the huge block on Seth Curry. Even if he can’t keep up with anyone anymore, Korver still can pull out the occasional huge rejection.

I think Korver’s age might be catching up to him a bit, because it seems like he’s been missing way more wide open threes than he should be. This game will send his percentages rocketing up again, but it’s something to keep an eye on. Honestly, all the production he gives the Bucks feels like a bonus; I didn’t think he’d be getting anything but serious garbage time minutes since the roster is so deep.
