Ja Morant 22 Points/7 Assists Full Highlights (12/18/2019)

Ja Morant’s final points came with seven minutes to go in the third quarter and the Grizzlies up by 21. He did get a few more assists after that, but his scoring stopped entirely, and Memphis ended up losing by four.

And that is all I have to say about that. I don’t know what happened there. I could suggest that he be more aggressive with trying to score while watching the game slip away, but what do I know? He probably was aggressive trying to score but the Thunder were more aggressive with their double-teaming. Sometimes you have to pass it to the open guy and hope everything works out (it usually does if that open guy is Brandon Clarke).

It may be premature, but after this disappointing chokejob by the Grizzlies, I have no choice but to call Morant a TOTAL BUST and advocate that Bruno Caboclo take all his minutes and touches and opportunities. It pains me to say such a thing about a rookie, but he’s given me no choice. He’s a total bust. Straight up. The team would likely be better if Caboclo ran the show on offense. Him and Yuta Watanabe, actually.
