I cannot overstate how much I frickin’ LOVE George Hill. Every time he makes a shot these days, I cannot help myself from exclaiming “I love George Hill”. Because it’s true, I love him, and him making a shot reinforces my love for him.
He’s just so solid. The perfect veteran for the Bucks. The fact that he’s shooting over 50 percent from three (best three-point shooter in the league, suck it Kyle Korver) is cool, but even if he wasn’t, he’d still be great. He was great last year and he was shooting under 30 percent from deep.
Tonight was definitely the most anticipated regular-season game so far, a battle of 24-4 teams, the Bucks and the Lakers. The superstars did their thing, LeBron James got a triple-double, Anthony Davis got fouled a lot, and Giannis Antetokounmpo hit a bunch of threes. Those things were all cool. But Hill was the one who scored 21 points in 27 minutes (I think at one point it was 21 points in 19 minutes but then he stopped scoring because he was tired of making LeBron his bitchbaby), providing the extra push the Bucks needed to win.
He’s so god damn good. And all the Bucks had to give up was Matthew Dellavedova and John Henson.
