OFFICIAL DTB ANNOUNCEMENT: I am OFFICIALLY keeping Bam Adebayo on my channel. For now. But I’m watching his stats very closely. In the month of December, he’s putting up 19/11/5 on 56% shooting, and that shooting percentage is actually LOWER than his percentages for October and November. The way he’s playing right now is, simply put, way too good for my channel, but I need more time to determine whether this run of monster stats is a fluke or whether this is actually what we can expect from Adebayo going forward.
I could totally see Adebayo being an All-Star this year if the Heat continue to exceed expectations. If and when that happens, he’ll be booted off my channel regardless of what other determinations I have made in regards to his stats. If the voters decide to snub him, then I will be left to my own devices. Being left to my own devices is scary and isolating, but it usually results in good outcomes.
No other highlight maker has to worry about which players they can make videos for and which players they can’t. They can just do whatever players they want without weighing a million internal and external factors that result in a roughly-calculated “video suitability index”. I am alone in this monumental struggle. Maybe I should hire a board of directors to make these decisions for me while I rake in the Patreonbux and don’t share it with them.
