The Celtics’ box-scores are dominated by their star players. If a Celtics player has a good individual game, it’s overwhelmingly likely that that player is one of Tatum, Brown, Walker, or Hayward. Their role-players rarely go off for large amounts of points, as evidenced by the fact that I’ve made just SIX videos for Celtics players this season.
That figure is so utterly mind-blowing that I had to double-check my math. But my math has no errors. The numbers are unassailable. Through 25 games, only six Celtics role-players had performances worthy of being shown on my world renowned (and, honestly, probably universe-renowned [hello aliens!]) highlights channel. Actually, the number is seven, but the one time that Brad Wanamaker had a really good game, I ran out of time to make the video. Sorry Celtics fans. Also, I maybe ignored Marcus Smart a few times when I shouldn’t have, but who can blame me? When I see his cratered, acne-ravaged visage, it makes me want to use Accutane as mayo on all my sandwiches going forward.
Now, with Grant Williams dropping eighteen points, the seventh Celtics highlight video of the season has been made. I didn’t even really know who Grant Williams was before this game. All I knew about him was that his three point percentage wasn’t even at 10%; he was at 2-of-29 before this game, so he doubled his three point makes without having to double his attempts in the process.
Anyway, I don’t even feel guilty about not doing a lot of Celtics highlights because that Timi dude pretty much has the market cornered on that stuff. If any Celtics player has even a semi-decent game at all, Timi’s uploading it because he doesn’t have the luxury of uploading videos for other teams. So you know that apology I stated in the second paragraph where I said “Sorry Celtics fans”? That apology can be OFFICIALLY stricken from the record. I am not sorry at all.
