Richaun Holmes 18 Points Full Highlights (12/21/2019)

The mere act of creating this video has leadened my soul with disappointment. Being forced to write a description for it burdens my psyche with anhedonic gloom.

The Richaun Holmes – De’Aaron Fox connection was so hyped in my mind. The entirety of my last video description for Holmes was spent hyping up the possibilities of this recently reunited young tandem. Fox’s speed and Holmes’ athleticism was supposed to be the rebirth of lob city in Sacramento. But this video only contains one dunk from Holmes, and it was off a missed layup – Fox was not involved in the play at all. Similarly, this video only contains one alley-oop, but it’s an alley-oop layup as opposed to an alley-oop dunk, and the passer was Barnes, not Fox. I can feel the hype draining from my body as these words are typed.

It’s not too late for the Holmes and Fox duo to wow the league with astounding basketball plays that will surely cause Grant Napear to repeatedly scream his favorite catchphrase (don’t make me repeat it right now, I’m not in the mood). But game two of the recently initiated experiment didn’t go according to plan even though the Grizzlies have an exploitable defense, one of the five worst in the league. All indications pointed to this game being a lobfest for Holmes. It was not a lobfest.

That is why my soul is screaming out for a blessed termination, to be unchained from this dismal mortal life and all its various disappointments to wander this earth as a bodiless soulwraith.
