I had an irrational bordering on rational attachment to Tim Frazier for the short amount of time he was on the Bucks. When he got cut after pre-season, I shed a single solitary manly tear. A tear of sadness. When he got signed by the Bucks after the Pelicans unwisely waived him, I shed a single solitary manly tear out of the other eye, but this time it was a tear of happiness.
Now the sadness tears might be making a re-appearance. I’m looking at Frazier’s game log and it’s just making me so sad. I guess his fit on the Pistons isn’t very good or something? His previous high in points was seven, and he’s gotten numerous DNP’s despite the Pistons missing Reggie Jackson for the majority of the season up to this point. He did have eight assists in a game, but only scored two points.
I would very much like to blame Dwane Casey for Frazier’s lack of success. Casey has been the clear cause of player failings in the past. But I have to admit the possibility that Frazier just isn’t very good right now. Perhaps age has caught up to him at age 29. Perhaps he…gasp…wasn’t ever all that good in the first place and his past successes were just a result of lots of court time to accumulate stats for teams that had no better options at the point guard position.
No! No! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to commit the ultimate blasphemy against Tim Frazier’s name! Allow me to repent! Please! Please! Don’t cast me into the lake of soul-searing fire where the blasphemers scream in torment for eternity. No! I promise I will hold the proper reverence for our lord Tim Frazier going forward! Allow me to repent! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
