Troy Brown Jr.’s continued development into something approximating a real NBA role-player has gone unnoticed by all but the most ardent NBA fans. No lie, this may be the kind of thing that has escaped even Zach Lowe’s notice. Okay, that’s probably not true, even if his quote “What if Brown is on a path to becoming the next Kawhi Leonard?” is about Jaylen Brown, not Troy Brown.
By the way, that quote could TOTALLY be about Troy Brown. In fact, I’m going to pretend that it is about Troy Brown. Because that makes my life just that much better.
It’s possible that ‘Zards fans haven’t even noticed Brown’s ascent into role-playerdom. Or, they’re reading this description thinking “what the heck is this moron talking about, Brown sucks all the time and just because he scored a few points in a few games doesn’t mean he’s suddenly become a good role-player for us”. If that’s the case and I’m totally misinterpreting Brown’s play lately, then I apologize.
I also apologize to ‘Zards fans for being born in such unfortunate circumstances that they were forced to become ‘Zards fans. It is not really my place to apologize for such a thing, because I had no hand in it, and a true gentleman never apologizes for things that are not his faul, but still. Sorry. Not all of us can be Bucks fans as well as be handsome adonises with perfect muscular and skeletal structure (me).
