I know that I said my previous Danuel House video was my final Christmas present to you all, but Saint DTB has some more gifts hiding in that big ol’ sack of his. Saint DTB, regrettably, was too busy delivering high-quality NBA videos to the children of the world to realize that Jerami Grant’s 17 points was his third-highest scoring game of the season and just three points behind his season high of twenty. Can you blame me for not realizing, though? I’m just going house-to-house swinging my sack around. I don’t have time to check the box-scores.
Part of running this channel is being flexible with the development and regression of players. Take Grant for example. He was a pretty good scorer last season, and he’s actually scoring at a higher rate this season, but his minutes are down (because Paul Millsap is ruining the Nuggets) so I’ve had to adjust my expectations for him. Seventeen points would not have been a highlight video last season, but it is this season, because of my flexibility in the face of changing circumstances.
No matter how much Grant’s minutes get reduced, however, he will still be in better shape than his brother Jerian, who had a much better college career than Jerami but is currently biding his time in the G-League. If I was Jerami I would have gotten my brother a fake NBA contract for Christmas to prank him real good.
