Thanks to the power of YouTube, I can portray NBA players as having had a good game when the truth may be totally different. That’s the problem with highlights, which is why I encourage everyone to not ever watch my videos and instead watch the games. I also encourage people not to read these descriptions and instead form opinions for themselves (with the aid of the full games that they are watching). I’m not even joking right now. Well, maybe I am a little bit. But I’m also kinda serious.
This particular video does no one any favors. Bogdan Bogdanovic had 19 points, a reasonable amount of points for him, and this video shows those points, and those points are scored with skill and grace. But what you don’t see are the 20 misses he had alongside his 8 makes. It was a double overtime game, so inflated shot attempts are to be expected, but man. 28 shots is a LOT of shots when you’re not even making a third of them. This is a career-high by far for him in that category; he almost missed as many shots as his career high was in attempts tonight.
Oh yeah, and I didn’t even mention the two missed free throws with around a minute left and his team down by 6. They did come back and have a chance to win in at the buzzer, so even one of those would have been really nice to have.
