As if I needed any more proof that Paul Millsap is currently, and always has been, ruining the Nuggets, take a look at this telltale stat which I found buried among the dust of the internetubes:
The Nuggets are 3-0 when Jerami Grant starts.
Boom. Any possible counterargument that was forming on your lips about how Paul Millsap isn’t ruining the Nuggets just got negated and nullified. It couldn’t be more obvious. Millsap is ruining the Nuggets, not only with his huge contract, but his lack of passing, his grotesquely improved free-throw and three-point shooting, and his insistence on playing crappy music on his portable speaker in the locker room. Jerami Grant, meanwhile, is not ruining anything except the winning chances of opposing teams.
In the past I felt like maybe my “Paul Millsap is ruining the Nuggets” narrative didn’t have enough hard evidence to back it up, but now it does, and it’s the hardest evidence of all: evidence which states that the backup is more of a winning player than the starter. Paul Millsap is ruining the Nuggets and it’s never been more obvious. Even casual fans should be able to agree with my on my assessment of things.
