Richaun Holmes 18 Points Full Highlights (12/29/2019)

16 points in the first half for Richaun Holmes, 2 in the second half. I’ve spent a lot of time talking this guy up as the best player on the Kings, all things considered (and I will stand by that assertion until the day comes when he is no longer on the Kings and is thus ineligible to be the best player on the Kings), but he definitely needs to have offense created for him for the most part. He can get some stuff off of offensive rebounds, but the majority of his points come from other players finding him.

That goes for a lot of players in the NBA, though, if you really think about it. How many dudes are there where you can give them the ball and they’ll go and get you a good shot? A bunch, but not even close to the majority of the league. It’s simply not a desired skill these days. Holmes is not alone in having a limited individual offensive game.

That said, the Kings are losing WITHOUT him grabbing rebounds, dribbling all the way down the court with them, and pulling up from 30 feet, so I don’t see how much worse it would be if he grabbed rebounds, dribbled all the way down the court with them, and pulled up from 30 feet. A loss is a loss, no matter what happened to get there. Just saying.
