I just have to accept that there is nothing I can do or say to make people care about Alex Len. I could be the world’s most persuasive orator, I could have the most compelling arguments, I could offer monetary rewards, it doesn’t matter. The general NBA public is resolute in their stance, and through their actions they say time and time again “we do not give a HOOT about Alex Len”.
It’s easy to think that, as a Euro, Len has a built in fanbase of fellow Euros, but that’s not the case. There are plenty of Euros who have come and gone from the NBA without anyone caring. Marko Guduric is Serbian and is in the league RIGHT NOW, but I don’t think Serbians are even aware. Remember Damjan Rudez? You should, but you don’t. He was extremely Euro, just as Euro as Luka Doncic, but the care was just not there. Same with Len.
One of his problems might be that he’s not that good-looking. He’s not a total uggo, but his beard is semi-transparent. That’s a big problem. And the shaved head look, that’s not really working out. He should watch some Chris Clemons highlights and take some notes about his hair. Just thinking about him running around with a head full of dreads flopping all over the place is elevating my care levels from “zero” to “potentially not zero”.
