Terry Rozier, in addition to his 20 points and 9 assists (without a turnover, damn, he out-Monted Monte Morris in his own building, the DISRESPECT), had a really sick ankle-breaker on Jamal Murray, so sick that Murray had to exit the game and not return.
But this was a different kind of ankle-breaker than you’re used to; instead of a crossover that sent Murray to the floor clutching his ankle, he simply shot a three-pointer and let Murray land on his slightly extended foot. Boom! Total ankular (screw off spellcheck that’s totally a word) annihilation. This one won’t get all the replays on SportsCenter, and not only because SportsCenter doesn’t actually show highlights anymore.
Rozier seemed to be channeling his inner Devonte’ Graham (we all have an inner Devonte’ Graham, I think) in this one, hitting almost nothing by threes and getting way more assists, and of a higher quality, than usual. Him channeling Graham is probably an improvement over whoever he was channeling before. I’m trying to think of a good guess for who that player was, but it’s not working, so let’s just go with Eddie House.
Sidenote: is anyone else really thirsty all of a sudden? An ice-cold Mountain Dew seems like it would really hit the spot right now.
