Bam Adebayo 21 Points/5 Assists Full Highlights (1/17/2020)

If Bam Adebayo wants more triple-doubles (and you know he does), he’s going to have to study some more game film of Nikola Jokic. If he doesn’t want to bother the Heat’s video personnel with such a request (word might travel through the grape vine that he isn’t 100 percent confident in his abilities), I am willing to send him my entire archive of Jokic highlights for a reasonable fee. Something like 10,000 dollars, which I think is more than fair for a really nice amount of primo Jokic content, organized chronologically so he can see how he improved over the years.

The Jokic dunkilation from last season should prove especially valuable to Adebayo. He won’t have his athleticism forever, and it’s good to see how a player can still dunk the ball even when he can’t jump.

But what Adebayo really needs to look at, in order to get those desperately-coveted triple-doubles, is how Jokic utilizes the handoff to get free assists without even doing any work. Adebayo did it a few times this game, and he’s been doing it all season, but he needs to refine his technique. Don’t always do it at three-point line; if you step in a few feet, you will be more likely to get an assist when they guy you’re handing it off to takes it to the rim.

Adebayo also should demand a trade for Gary Harris. Without Harris, I think Jokic would have 5 triple-doubles, max.
