Michael Carter-Williams 15 Points Full Highlights (1/22/2020)

Everyone’s loving the currently-happening career resurgence of Markelle Fultz in Orlando. And I agree: it’s very fun. But you know what would be even more fun? A career resurgence of Michael Carter-Williams in Orlando.

The similarities to their respective situations are there. The only difference is that MCW started off “good” (notice the quotation marks indicating skepticism) and only got worse, while Fultz start off horrible and is only getting better. Even their play styles are kinda the same, down to the shaky jumper.

By the way, the 76ers sure are good at ruining players, aren’t they? Reminder: Shawn Long should still be in the league but isn’t because the 76ers ruined him, apparently.

It looked for a bit like MCW was on a bit of a redemption tour after getting traded from Houston, playing basketball that wasn’t very good stat-wise but had an impact on team success. I’m not sure that he’s replicating that success, probably because Fultz is way better at this point and taking all his minutes, but he’s still a semi-serviceable rotation player. Totally. Probably. Maybe.

These 15 points is the most he’s scored this season, which should surprise absolutely nobody. If you are surprised, you need to get back into your time machine and go back to 2014 from where you came.
