At first I wasn’t going to make this video. I said to myself “Bertans is averaging fifteen PPG per game right now so seventeen isn’t that impressive for him.” But my little kitty Japurri Purrker, who is smart enough to understand human speech, heard me talking to myself and started meowing really angrily at me. Usually he’s quiet, just making little “merp”s if he wants scritchy-times or maybe one or two meows if he’s really hungry, but this time it was the feline equivalent of a human yelling at the top of their lungs.
Once I relented and said, “Okay, I’ll make the Davis Bertans highlight” video, Japurri hopped onto my lap and made himself comfortable while purring like an idling lawnmower. But I couldn’t just pretend to make the video while actually making a video for another player, because Japurri would see right through my tricks, so I ended up putting together an entire highlights package of Bertans scoring seventeen points against the Cavaliers.
But now that I think about it with an unclouded mind, I’m in agreement with Japurri. Bertans is just a fun player to watch, and the funness doesn’t stop just because he scored below twenty points. And it’s not like there’s anybody out there who’s going to be UPSET that there are Bertans highlights from this game available on the internet. This video will only result in smiles and happiness, and for that reason, its existence is justified.
You know that Japurri is trustworthy, not only because of his love for Bertans, but also for the fact that when I jokingly said that I’m going to put Collin Sexton back on my channel, he hissed at me and clawed my face like I was some kind of predator that was going to eat him. Then he sulked off somewhere and I haven’t seen him for a while.
Japurri is always right. I should never doubt him.
