Damyean Dotson 21 Points Full Highlights (1/24/2020)
It would have been so sweet for the Knicks to beat the Raptors in this game. They led for good chunks of the game, but couldn’t quite hang on, losing 106-112. Since the Knicks are a bad team and the Raptors are a good team, it would have brought much pain into the lives of Raptors fans to witness such a loss. And that would be pain well-deserved since they so recently felt the sublime happiness of winning a championship.
A Knicks victory here would also have been a karmic serving of justice onto the Raptors for fleecing the Knicks in the Andrea Bargnani trade. Can you believe that the Knicks GAVE UP A FIRST ROUND PICK so they could acquire Bargnani? I’m not lying! You would think the pick would have to go the other direction, but nope, the Knicks wanted Mr. Primo Pasta really really badly. The Raptors have fleeced a couple of teams in recent memory so to have those teams get their comeuppance would be a cosmic correction of sorts.
If the Knicks couldn’t win, at least the next best thing happened, which is Damyean Dotson having a good game. He’s always been one of my favorite Knicks players thanks to his fearless shooting and his unwillingness to amass large numbers of assists. However, just because he’s my favorite Knick doesn’t mean that I pronounce his name correctly when I read it in my head. I still pronounce it “dam yeen” and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fix that.
(P.S. this video was re-uploaded do to me showing a missed three by Dotson instead of the made three that happened twenty seconds later. Don’t edit highlight videos while drowsy.)
