As you all should be aware of by now, Domantas Sabonis has OFFICIALLY been selected to play in the NBA All-Star game, which means that, once the game happens, the title of “All-Star” will be OFFICIALLY conveyed to him. Sabonis will be an ALL-STAR.
And you know what means, right?
No more Sabonis highlight videos on my channel.
Certainly that will be a sad day both for Pacers fans and for Lithuanians as a whole. However, for me, the day will be marked by both happiness and sadness; happiness for the lightening of my workload (Sabonis has been having highlightable games with crushing regularity this season), sadness for the fact that Sabonis highlight videos are generally entertaining to make and watch.
It’s kind of like being a mommy bird and watching your baby bird grow up and fly out of the nest, except in this case, it’s like the baby bird has been a hostage in the nest for a long time but the mommy bird has been keeping him in the nest and telling him that he shouldn’t fly away just yet. Note that, in this metaphor, mommy bird = DTB, baby bird = Sabonis, nest = my YouTube channel, and flying = graduating from my channel. Also, the tree that the nest is on = YouTube itself, daddy bird = Kietass (because they’re both absent from baby bird’s life), the next tree over = Dawkins, and the worms that baby bird was eating = the scrubs that Sabonis has consistently been dominating over the course of the season. You can see it’s a very complicated metaphor, but it’s the metaphor that’s most suited to the task of describing the Sabonis situation concisely and clearly.
Start counting down the days, everybody. There are roughly two more weeks of Saboner videos on my channel. It’s okay to cry.
