Marcus Morris 26 Points Full Highlights (2/3/2020)

I just did some intrepid internet sleuthing and discovered a disturbing fact: at 19.5 PPG per game, Marcus Morris is the highest-scoring player who is still being featured on my channel. The 33 players above him in the PPG per game leaderboards have either been kicked to the curb earlier in my highlighting career or were never part of my channel to begin with.

And after Morris, you have to go down another ten spots before you reach the next DTB-eligible player, a guy by the name of Kelly Oubre who is averaging 18.5 per game. Him and Morris are the two-highest scoring players on my channel, and, I’m not going to lie, I’ve given a considerable amount of thought to banishing them from these sacred halls of scrubdom. I honestly stay awake at night pondering the correct course of action for these high-scoring dudes who, despite their high-scoring tendencies, most fans would still call “role-players”.

For now, I’m content with leaving Morris on. If and when he gets traded, his scoring is sure to go down to levels that are more acceptable for DTB. And if, by some miracle, Morris avoids the wildly swinging axe of the Trade God, that’s when I can take my chance to force his graduation from my channel. Because the Knicks are only going to get worse after they’re done making whatever trades they make, and Morris stands to score even more PPG per game in the trade deadline’s wake.
