Bogdan Bogdanovic 23 Points Full Highlights (2/7/2020)

Well, it appears that Bogdan Bogdanovic has made it through the trade deadline unscathed. After 29 other teams called Vlade’s personal office line directly inquiring about his availability, it turned out that the Kings liked him better than whatever assets they were going to get in return for him. So the dream of the SSS (the Serbian Superteam in Sacramento) lives another day.

Now Bogdanovic will be heading into free agency (either restricted or the normal kind) at the end of the season. Since he wasn’t dealt, the Kings must be either planning to keep him long-term or planning to do a sign-and-trade with him. Given the Vlade connection, I’m going with the first option. Bogdanovic is the kind of guy who you would find at least one of on any championship team. That’s why contenders were rumored to be interested in him. Because Bogdanovic-type players are not all that common and contending teams want to hoard as many of them as possible.

The Kings did make a move at the deadline (trading malcontent Dewayne Dedmon for Alex Len and Jabari Parker) which seems like a coup from a talent perspective, but what do I know? Anyway, no matter what they did at the deadline barring trading for a legit superstar, the Kings weren’t and aren’t going to make the playoffs this season. Hopefully they just let the Serbians ball out and ignore everybody else so I can get more subscribers on my channel. I know you’re reading this, Vlade.
