Seth Curry was 10/10 from the field in this game once he got done scoring points. He would go on to miss four straight shots without making another, leaving him with “just” 26 points for the game, but that fact only diminishes the quality of this performance slightly, and it doesn’t diminish the quality of this video at all, because you can watch it and assume he stopped shooting once he hit his tenth shot. Him missing a few shots at the end doesn’t change the immutable fact that he single-handedly outscored the Hornets in the first quarter.
That’s more of a commentary on the sorry state of the Hornets than it is a commentary on Curry’s scoring abilities. He scored twelve in the first quarter, which isn’t that unusual, it’s just that the Hornets only scored ten in the first quarter. That IS unusual.
Now that I think about it, I should have used the Hornets’ commentary to make this video rather than the Dallas commentators. Dell Curry, Seth’s father, is the analysis gut for the Hornets’ broadcast, so he probably had some fun things to say about Seth’s utter domination of the team that was probably his favorite while growing up in North Carolina. Dell’s allegiances would have been torn. Maybe I’ll remake this video with his commentary and make it a Patreon-only special.
