Amir Coffey 10 Points Full Highlights (2/9/2020)

Prior to this game and my making of this highlight video, the only thing I knew about Amir Coffey was that he played for the Clippers. I also sort of knew what he looked like. I had never gotten a clear look at him, but I knew he was moderately tall and that he was…um…lighter rather than darker. There are some scrubs in the NBA that I couldn’t even tell you if they were tall or not, or what shade their skin was. Now that I get a closer look at Coffey, I can tell that he looks like a bootleg hobo version of Jabari Parker.

However, that is just about the extent of my Coffey knowledge. Here is a rundown of things that are as of yet unknown:

-Shooting ability. Can Coffey shoot? In this video he makes five layups, so if he can shoot, he didn’t show it off in this game.

-Dunking ability. Coffey is tall enough to dunk, but does he do it often? Does he do it with sufficient power?

-Hot beverage preference. It would be presumptive of me to assume that Coffey prefers coffee. Maybe he likes tea. Or hot chocolate. Or chai.

-Hype levels. Does Coffey have legions of fans left over from high school and/or college? Do Clippers fans think he’s going to be some kind of stud? I haven’t seen or heard of any hype for Coffey, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. That only means that I don’t travel in the circles where that hype could be found.

-Long-term viability as an NBA player. Coffey has played in four NBA games now. That’s not very many. Either he’s really good and his coach hates him, or he’s not really good and his coach is giving him the proper amount of minutes. Which is it?

-Friendship with Kawhi. Kawhi doesn’t seem like a guy who even has friends. Is Coffey good at having friends? Would that even be a benefit when trying to befriend Kawhi? Maybe if they’re both loners, that would result in a different kind of friendship which Kawhi would appreciate.

Perhaps the answers to these questions will become clearer with the passage of time. Perhaps they will remain shrouded by the veil of mystery, a veil which can never be drawn back. In either case, I will be monitoring the situation as closely as necessary. Which isn’t very closely at all because this dude is sorta irrelevant right now.
