The Denver Nuggles came back from 23 down in this game to win by seven, and Paul “Nuggets Ruiner” Millsap was a big part of that comeback. That’s why there was so much cheering and excitement in the arena whenever Millsap hit a shot. Under normal circumstances, it is impossible for a mentally sound human being to become that hyped by a Paul Millsap field goal. In the context of a comeback, though, such hype is understandable.
It was also, apparently, Millsap’s 35th birthday last night. So, not only did he get the win for his birthday, but he probably got a lot of cool presents from his teammates too. I’m guessing he received some typical old man stuff like grilling utensils, jean shorts, a taco seasoning variety pack, gift cards to Outback Steakhouse, things like that, but when you’re old like Millsap is and you’ve got all the big things taken care of, gifts like that is all you need.
Not that I know anything about getting old. My birthday wish lists still consist entirely of video games. If I got jean shorts for my birthday I would punch whoever game them to me.
