Rui Hachimura 20 Points/2 Blocks Full Highlights (2/11/2020)

I didn’t indicate it in the title (update: I changed my mind, people have to know about this), but Rui Hachmiura had 2 blocks in this game. 2 blocks doesn’t sound like very many (probably because there’s only one positive integer lower than 2), but it really is for him. I’ll let you guess how many he’s had this season.

Remember: he’s a 6’8″ dude with good athleticism.

If you guessed 3, then congratulations, you looked at basketball-reference and then pretended you came up with the guess yourself! Personally, I would’ve guessed, like, 20 or something. Not an unreasonable amount for a young big who has appeared in around 30 games in a league where they hand out blocks just for stripping a player who maybe could’ve possibly been going up for a shot within the next five seconds.

Three blocks. The whole season. That’s J.J. Barea-esque, my man.

Even weirder is that he’s ALREADY had a game with 2 blocks this season. This isn’t even the first one. So outside of that game (against the Suns in late November) and this one, he has ONE block the whole rest of the season. The ‘Zards really don’t play any defense at all, do they?
