Chiozzanity is happening right now. RIGHT NOW. The thing with these minor -sanity’s is that if you blink, they’re gone. You missed it. So you have to be paying attention at all times. CONSTANT VIGILANCE! There are probably tons of people out there who didn’t even notice that Linsanity was happening before it was over. And now they have to live with that for the rest of their lives. Do you want to be that guy but with Chiozzanity instead? I don’t think you do.
Chris Chiozza has had two good games in a row now, officially qualifying him for a -sanity of his own. And a hashtag: #chiozzanity . I had previously pronounced Chiozzanity as being in effect last game, but that was hasty of me. A single game does not a -sanity make. Two games, though, we know this isn’t a fluke. Well, it kind of is. But it’s also real. Realer than real.
Somehow I thought that the Nets commentators would be more excited for this. They’re just treating what Chiozza is doing as a normal, expected thing! I guess they’ve seen enough of him in garbage time or whatever to know that he can be a semi-legit point guard option, but what about the rest of us? There’s a whole country (and world) full of people who have never seen this dude play, you have to commentate for those folks as well as the Nets diehards.
Next game for Chiozza: game winner. I’m calling it now. Who even needs Kyrie Irving?
