Remember how Paul George was really butthurt that one time when he didn’t get to take the last shot in some important playoff game? “I gotta get the last shot” he said. His butt was so inflamed from pain that no amount of extra-strong opiates could soothe it. His hatred for C.J. Miles was palpable right at that moment.
Well, if Cam Reddish is going to really be the next Paul George, he’s going to have to emulate him both in his on-court play and his off-court demeanor.
That means that Reddish should be calling out his teammates right now for not letting him take all the potential game-winning shots that could have (and should have) been his. I’ve even come up with some example postgame interview quotes for him to use:
“Trae Young has more holes in his game than holes in his hairline. Next time coach needs some clutch free throws at the end of regulation, he knows who to call.”
“John Collins might have been 13-for-13 at one point in this game, but that doesn’t entitle him to the game-winning shot attempt. I gotta get the last shot, man.”
“If coach isn’t gonna trust me to make the big shots, maybe I’ll demand a trade somewhere where they trust me a bit more.”
“I got catfished by a dude and sent him pics of my dingaling.”
Okay, maybe he doesn’t have to use that last one, which, while Paul George-esque, is not reflective of reality, but he can definitely use the first three. Only by throwing his teammates under the bus can he truly ascending to Paul George levels of stardom.
