Marcus Morris 18 Points Full Highlights (9/3/2020)

We are getting closer and closer to seeing a Marcus Morris vs. Markieff Morris battle in the playoffs. It feels like we should’ve seen such a thing already, since they’ve both been on a bunch of teams, but we haven’t. But that’s going to change pretty soon if things continue on their current trajectory, unless something weird happens like LeBron “NoDefense SuckBalls” James chokes in the playoffs (not so weird, actually).

Unfortunately, the Morris bros playoff matchup is going to be like the 12th most compelling storyline of a hypothetical Lakers-Clippers series. Maybe it’ll get mentioned a few times by the commentators, but there will be so much other stuff to talk about that there will be hardly any time to talk about the actual games going on on the court, much less a role-player twin rivalry.

What would really be better is if they were both still on teams where they got huge roles. Marcus was just on the Knicks this season, where he was pretty much the number-one option a lot of the time, and Markieff was on the Pistons, who were so bad that they could’ve made him the number-one option and nothing would’ve changed. Now there’s a playoff battle I want to see. Detroit vs New York, with Marcus and Markieff taking turns running down the court and shooting a midrange jumper.
